This bike trail introduces you to the magical meeting of the plant and animal world offered by the Mirna River valley in Istria.
The route starts in Buje, Croatia, heading in the direction of the Mirna River and its fertile valley and vineyards. A part of the trail runs along the river itself whose flow offers refreshment and creates the atmosphere of complete union with the lush nature. This area stands out as one of the must-see destinations during your vacation in Istria for a reason and a bicycle is the ideal means of transportation for exploring all its hidden beauties. The route of this trail also passes through Brtonigla, Istria, also known as the „city of wine“, known for its autochthonous taverns and wine cellars that enthuse with their charm and atmosphere which presents Istrian tradition and way of life in the best possible way. With advance notice you can visit the restaurant San Rocco which is known far and wide for its imaginative fish and truffle dishes - a combination of flavours and aromas creating the full experience of Blue and Green Istria on your plate. After fine dining and a glass of wine, it's time for the trip back to Buje, while this bike trail and the magical Mirna River valley etch themselves into lasting memory of an unforgettable holiday in Istria.
